How do I get to Dwellingup?
If you travel down the Kwinana Freeway south from Perth look for the Lakes Road turnoff just 6kms before the Pinjarra turnoff. That will take you through to North Dandelup and then head up the hill on Del Park Road for 26kms. You are now in Dwellingup.
If you are travelling from the Perth airport area travel down the South West Highway to North Dandelup and then left turn up Del Park Road.
If you are coming from the Southwest make your way to Pinjarra and then head up the Pinjarra Williams road 26kms to Dwellingup.
Or from the Southwest and you want a scenic drive get to Waroona and come through Nanga Road from Waroona. Approx 35mins to Dwellingup
Where is Lane Poole reserve from Dwellingup?
From Dwellingup township travel 1.5kms east on Pinjarra Williams road heading towards Boddington. You will see Nanga road on your right at the 1.5km mark. Follow Nanga Road until you get to the Rangers entry point at the bottom of the hill turn left into the Rangers station and it will be signposted from there. Don't cross the Bridge you have gone too far.
What can we do in Lane Poole Reserve?
You may camp and you can book online your camping spot through the DPaW website, Paddle, mountain bike ride, hike, fish and you may even take the family dog on a lead.
How do I Book Public Camp Sites in Lane Poole?
If you are interested in Camping at Lane Poole make sure you check out the Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPaW) Parkstay website at www.dpaw.wa.gov.au you will need to book public camping grounds through them directly.
Is there a cost for entering or camping in the Lane Poole reserve?
For day trippers No, for campers yes. Check the DPaW website for current fees, availability and charges.
Can I bring Dogs into the Lane Poole Reserve?
Dogs are usually allowed as long as they are on a lead at all times. Check the DPaW website here for the latest news, policy and information.
Does the Steam Train operate in Dwellingup?
Yes but check the Hotham Valley Railway website for details and timings or see our town event calendar for train timetables.
When is the Tourist Information Centre open?
The centre is open Wed - Sun and closed Mon and Tue. For latest opening timings check their website.
Will my mobile phone work in the Dwellingup area?
It will have limited access within the near proximity of Dwellingup townsite but there is no reception in the forested areas ie down on the river or throughout the Lane Poole Reserve.
