Dwellingup Adventures is situated opposite the Dwellingup Community Hotel and provides a range of adventure and recreation services. Canoes, rafts, mountain bikes and a small range of camping equipment is available for hire. A small retail outlet has a range of mountain bike, hiking and water sport goods and spares.
The Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Trail and the Bibbulmun Track pass Dwellingup Adventures both being very popular with local and international visitors. Dwellingup is rapidly gaining ‘Trails Hub’ status with an ever increasing opportunity for those wishing to ride, mountain bikes, horses and trains, walk, canoe, raft, four wheel drive along designated trails or perhaps just explore the many fire line roads, old railway formations or bush access tracks that surround the town.
A selection of self guided tours is available including half, full day or overnight canoe tours, an overnight walk and canoe tour as well as both day and overnight mountain bike tours. Logistical support is offered for each tour in getting customers to the start or collecting at the end. We supply maps and our experienced staff can offer advice on what to take, time of year and general conditions of the river or tracks. Self guided tours are a great way to enjoy the experience in your small group secure in the knowledge that someone knows where and what you are doing.
White water rafting is available during the winter months usually about June to October. Variable river levels determine what type of raft is used. For high water the big 8 person rafts are used with a start point at Baden Powell Water Spout. For lower water the stable 2 person rafts are used with a start point via a private orchard. All runs finish at Scarp Pool. All safety and thermal wear is provided with rafters completing the day with soup, fresh baked local bread and a sausage sizzle at Dwellingup Adventures
Dwellingup Adventures have been running a wide range of activities for school camps, corporate and sporting groups for 20 years. Popular activities are abseiling, wall climbing, low ropes activities, flying fox on
land and into the river, mountain biking, canoeing, rafting both flat and fast water, raft building, bush craft activities and problem solving games and activities.
Mountain biking continues to increase in popularity with mountain bike over night expeditions providing another level of interaction with the environment. Schools are increasingly using the overnight mountain bike expedition as an alternative to the overnight hike.
Dwellingup Adventures and Rescue Training Group deliver the internationally renowned Rescue 3 Swiftwater Rescue Programmes. The 4 day Swiftwater Rescue Operator Course features nationally recognized training with 3 units of competency awarded after assessment.
